Adult Dependency Increases

If you currently receive an increase in your state pension, due to your spouse or a child carer being dependent upon you financially, you will contiue to receive this increase provided you still qualify.

However, the increase will cease to be paid after 6th April 2020 and there is no indication of what, it anything might replace it. Much the same as the current Government's position!

No new payments will be made after 6th April 2010.

This change was obviously introduced by the outgoing Labour Government prior to the May 2010 elections and the cessation of this benefit will occur after the end of the current Government's term of office.
